The sentiments expressed in this video are so true. What wonderful friends and companions dogs are? We are so lucky to have them.

This is so cute and funny. It’s worth watching if you have ever owned a cat or a dog.
Funny video – I wonder how she trained the dog to do that? The cat is pretty placid too. Amazing what animals will do for their owners.
Dear God: Here is a list of some of the things I must remember to be a good Dog:
2. I will not roll on dead seagulls, fish, crabs, etc., just because I like the way they smell.
3. The Litter Box is not a cookie jar.
4. The sofa is not a ‘face towel’.
5. The garbage collector is not stealing our stuff.
6. I will not play tug-of-war with Dad’s underwear when he’s on the toilet.
7. Sticking my nose into someone’s crotch is an unacceptable way of saying ‘hello’.
8. I don’t need to suddenly stand straight up when I’m under the coffee table.
9. I must shake the rainwater out of my fur before entering the house – not after.
10. I will not come in from outside, and immediately drag my butt across the carpet.
11. I will not sit in the middle of the living room, and lick my crotch.
12. The cat is not a ‘squeaky toy’, so when I play with him and he makes that noise, it’s usually not a good thing.
Dear God it’s me the dog -
Dear God: Is it on purpose that Our Names are spelled the same, only in reverse?
Dear God: Why do humans smell the flowers, but seldom, smell each other?
Dear God: When we get to Heaven, can we sit on your couch? Or will it be the same old story?
Dear God: Why are there cars named after the jaguar, the cougar, the mustang, the colt, the stingray, and the rabbit, but not ONE
named for a Dog? How often do you see a cougar riding around? We love a nice car ride! Would it be so hard to rename
the ‘Chrysler Eagle’ the ‘Chrysler Beagle’?
Dear God: If a Dog barks his head off in the forest and no human hears him, is he still a bad Dog?
Dear God: We Dogs can understand human verbal instructions, hand signals, whistles, horns, clickers, beepers, scent IDs, electromagnetic energy fields, and Frisbee flight paths. What do humans understand?
With a feline’s normal aversion to water, it is surprising that a cat would enjoy being on a small boat off shore with his owners, particularly hanging around the boat’s edge where he could easily fall into the ocean. In this case, however, the cat’s natural curiosity wins out as he discovers dolphins alongside the boat, something he’s never seen before. The cat is so fascinated with the playful creatures that he invites them to join in his favourite kissing game – and they do! They are just as curious and fascinated as the cat. What a lovely story, I love dolphins. We see them sometimes when we are out walking the dogs, and it always brightens my day. Ahh! nature how wonderful it is.
This video is so cute. I can’t believe how patient and gentle the cat is. I have never heard a bird make such a funny noise. I thought it was a kid laughing at first. I hope you enjoy it. Isn’t it amazing in this world where people are divided by their differences, yet the animals seem to be able to get along with each other, and they call them ‘dumb animals’? Doesn’t say much about humans does it?
Perhaps I should have called my blog A Cat’s Meow instead of A Daily Thought which is boring, or maybe A Dog’s Bark (No! that doesn’t have a catchy ring to it at all does it?) I have been watching the sleek, black cat next door sunning itself on the roof. Today is glorious after all the rain and the wind we have had the last week. It is so nice to see blue sky and sunshine again. We are in the first month of winter and it is still hot during the day. It makes me feel like I should be outside instead of hunched over a computer. By now you all know that I am addicted to blogging, and to my computer. So much to do and so little time sigh!
Anyhow I digress, back to the black cat. I was watching a television programme the other night about a cat’s purr. Did you know there were two different types of purr? Here is the link if you are interested in reading more about it. http://www.abc.net.au/catalyst/stories/3519623.htm
Now we all know that cats think they are God‘s gift to the Universe and this proves it. Sorry, I didn’t mean it proves they are God’s Gift just that they think that. Sometimes it is so hard to get your meaning across isn’t it? The presenter of the programme says, “ that inside the second purr is a secret signal so powerful it can bend a human to its will. “
Catalyst is a science based programme for people like me who wonder about lots of things but don’t have specialist knowledge.
I was thinking about my Dad who always said that he thought cats came from another hotter planet. Mind you, he also had a theory about those wire coathangers that seem to multiply in everyone’s wardrobe. He thought they were aliens too.
Anyhow that is me for today I am off to search for cats and wire coat hangers in case I am harboring any aliens. Ta Ta for now.
