Book Review : Men at Arms by Terry Pratchett

As you know I love Terry Pratchett books and this one is no exception. Men at Arms is about the Night Watch, Captain Vimes‘s wedding to Lady Sybil Ramkin, and Carrot‘s promotion to Captain. What happens to Captain Vimes after he retires? There are quite a few murders to solve, and they can’t be left up to the Assassins or the Fools Guild, so the brave men, trolls, dwarfs, and werewolf, that make up the Night Watch are called upon to fulfill their duty. Who is the King of Ankh- Morpork? This is a rollicking good read and as usual Terry Pratchett pokes fun at everything. I love it and I can’t wait to read the next book. He is the master of parody.

Ohhh! One of my favorites! We actually found the movie for Going Postal on Netflix. Absolutely fabulous! If you enjoyed that book you’ll probably enjoy the movie. I was literally clapping through the entire thing! 😀

I saw that on TV around Christmas time and they also had Hogwatch as well. Both of them were really good. I wish they put on some more of them. 🙂

They also made The Colour of Magic. The report is they are working on Unseen Academicals for the next TV-movie. But there is also a City Watch CSI-style series being made for UK television. If given the chance, I will buy the DVD when it comes out.
