Book Review: 77 Shadow Street

77 SHADOW STREET by Dean Koontz is another thrilling mix of sci-fi and  horror story by the master of suspense. The action is set in a  renovated luxury apartment block called the Pendelton. It was built in the 1900’s as a rich man’s dream home. Bad things happen there every 38 years. There have been murders and suicides. There are shadows and ghostly voices. Security cameras reveal things that shouldn’t be possible. The lift goes to places that shouldn’t be there.

At the center of it all is The One who controls events, and history. A truly horrific entity that spans time.  The whole premise of the book makes you think about the future and where we are heading. The ending is great, though somewhat predictable.

I’ve never read a Dean Koontz book although I know he is so very popular. I should give this a try!

    I can’t watch a scary movie but I love this book… I read a few chapters everyday!
