Feeling Grumpy and Frustrated

Ok! so today I am reading all the posts of the blogs I subscribe to on the Reader. I go through them every day and click on LIKE for the ones that I enjoy. I have been noticing the last few days that when I go back into the Reader all my likes are gone. So I started going on the individual blogs and saw that none of my likes have shown up. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this something new with WordPress? I was annoyed because I try to encourage other bloggers, and now it looks like all my hard work has gone to waste GRRR!

I think the LIKES are an important part of blogging. They show that we appreciate the time and effort our fellow bloggers have put into their posts. It also helps to create a community feel. I enjoy going through my blog to see who has liked my posts, and I am sure that other bloggers feel the same. It makes you feel accepted and vindicated. So my friends if you have been missing my LIKES, never fear I have been doing them. I am not sure if this is a temporary problem with WordPress or they have changed something. Anyhow, whatever it is I hope they take note and fix it soon.

Hope you got this “like” judy! Sorry I’m liking a post where you are grumpy and frustrated though. Hope WP fixes this problem up pronto. And I do agree how important connecting with the blogger community is and “likes” are an important part.

My “Like” of your post is for the service you are attempting to provide to other bloggers. I’ve not experienced that problem but I plan to keep an eye out for it. Thank you for your heads-up–which is yet another act of kindness you gave to fellow bloggers!

I hope that this experience improves soon for you. Thank you for sharing not only the happy times but the times when you are feeling Grumpy and Frustrated too!

    This too shall pass…

No problems here either but I do appreciate all your likes 🙂
I LOVE seeing likes although it frustrates me when I see a like but the stats don’t go up – are they really reading? (I know you are Judy) I save my likes for the special posts but I don’t get time to read every day so probably miss a lot of great ones.

Yeah I think the likes are important as they give people an idea of what sort of posts people like and it’s also encouragement to post more.
I try to read them every day but sometimes that isn’t possible and then there is so many the next day.
My followers keep going up and down too. One day I will have 194 then I will be down to 192. My goal is to get to 200 but I seem to go up and then I go down again. Very frustrating.
I think your blog is great and I enjoy looking at the writing prompts.
