Hi all,
I have just been informed by one of my lovely readers, thanks Russ, that the post I put up about Tom Hanks‘s Father is a hoax. I am so grateful that you let me know.
I did some research and he is right. This is from Wikipedia. I am very sorry to have led you astray. I thought this man actually looked like Tom Hanks in some of the shots, when I saw the clip. OOPS! 🙂
The Diamonds is a Canadian vocal quartet that rose to prominence in the 1950s and early 1960s with sixteen Billboard hit records. The original members were Dave Somerville (lead), Ted Kowalski (tenor), Phil Levitt (baritone), and Bill Reed (bass). They were most noted for interpreting and introducing rhythm and blues vocal group music to the wider pop music audience. Contrary to popular myth, the father of Tom Hanks was never a member of the group.

We all make mistakes and I like you thought that he looked like Tom Hanks. Great songs however.

No problem, “to err is human to forgive is divine”, I could write volumes with all my mistakes! – it is still interesting to learn a little bit about The Diamonds. Blessings – Patty
